Location employees participate in periodic training to receive information with regard to their duties and obligations pursuant to the Compliance Program. A third-party Compliance Line is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, to provide customers, employees and contractors the ability to report concerns.

\r\nGenesis has also adopted a Code of Conduct, developed specifically to set clear expectations and standards, to reinforce individual integrity and accountability, and to promote compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. The Code of Conduct applies to all covered persons which include directors, officers, employees of Genesis Healthcare and its subsidiaries and independent contractors. Independent contractors that provide services similar to employees or other individuals providing services directly to patients or residents are required to complete Code of Conduct Compliance Training at the link below. The Code of Conduct Acknowledgment Form at the end of the Code of Conduct must also be signed and provided to the applicable Genesis service location.

\r\nThe Genesis Compliance Program is intended to empower personnel to prevent, detect and resolve any conduct or action which fails to comport with applicable law, or which fails to satisfy the Genesis Code of Conduct. Each service location has identified a Civil Rights Coordinator and has adopted an internal grievance procedure providing for prompt and equitable resolution of complaints alleging any action prohibited by Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (42 U.S.C. 18116) and its implementing regulations at 45 CFR Part 92, issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Section 1557 prohibits discrimination in certain health programs and activities.

\r\n\r\nElder Justice Act: Your Duty to Report Reasonable Suspicion of Crime
\r\nCovered Individuals are required to report to the State Survey Agency (SSA) and to a local law enforcement agency where the facility is located, any reasonable suspicion of a crime committed against any individual who is a resident of, or is receiving care from, the long term care facility.
