\r\nWhen she arrived she needed moderate assistance with her dressing tasks for daily living and had an MBI score of 66/100.
\r\nUpon working with therapy, she was independent with all her tasks for daily living, could walk 150’ with her rolling walker and could navigate 4 stairs with railings. Her MBI score went up to a 90/100.

\r\nOn behalf of my family, my sister and I would like to thank you for all of your compassion and team work in the care of my mother Angela. Harris Hill was recommended to us by another nurse who assured us that it was \"more like home\" than any facility she had been in as a hospice nurse. We had to trust in her recommendation as we had nothing but faith to go on during a very tumultuous time in our lives as a family. The transition was difficult but with your love, compassion and dedication it came to be called home by my mother. During her visits to our home she would get tired and ask us to, \"take me home.\" As nurses, my sister and I both recognize the dedication it takes to help residents feel the sense of belonging, security and love that is required to elicit that feeling to residents and their family members and you folks do it very well. We are just so thankful that I fear that a letter or a card cannot do justice to represent the true depth of our thanks to you. During our mother's last few days here my family sat at her bedside listening and watching the evidence of team work both in the care of my mother and the other residents. So, my hope is that you feel and are proud of the love and support you bring to the Harris Hill family every day. They/we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.

There is a phrase; It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a village to provide all the care required for someone with ALS. When I came in to clean out my loved ones room after he passed, I started seeing the staff members who have become family. Those people who answered our questions over and over again, called us with information, hugged us when we needed a hug, reassured us that it was okay to be tired. They had discretion in times we needed to express frustrations. How does one say thank you? The words fail me. So I leave with you my immense gratitude for what you do every day, for all the people that pass through your doors in need of care and compassion. The patient comes with not only his needs, but the family comes with them! Thank you.

Everyone at this facility has been so communicative and involved- My father has been there since 3/11/19 trying to recover from a CVA that occurred at the end of January. I live in AZ and not only does the distance impose all kinds of problems, I've had poor communication experiences with his rehab hospital. Everyone at Harris Hill- from his case manager Mary-Ellen, to the Rehab director, Michelle, to the Transition Coordinator, Sherry and the Unit Clerk, Susan- has been 100% involved with every aspect of my dad's care as well as made it a point to avail themselves to my inane questions and requests- I would highly recommend this facility if anyone were in need of a place to reside in or even go for intensive rehab after any catastrophic ailment- you will be VERY well taken care of!

To Harris Hill Center: I arrived here via Concord Hospital and my home 3 weeks ago. My stay here has been satisfying, helping me get back to my usual self, doing things in a normal way. The food has been good quality. The nurses and aids have been extremely good! It’s comforting to know it’s like this here in case a loved one of mine needs therapy.

\r\nI hope this note finds you well and that things at Harris Hill Center are returning to a more ‘normal’ routine for you all. It’s hard to believe it is already mid-March. The dust has settled a bit for us here and I have had some time to reflect on the past year. Whew, what a year! I think back to the situation my family was in a year ago and how the team at HHC supported us through it. I wanted to take a moment to again express my heartfelt appreciation for everything you and your team did for Mom and Dad (Joe & Marion K.), as well as for me, during the many months they were in your care.
\r\nOur paths crossed during one of the most difficult times for my family (amid a Guardianship process) as well as one of the craziest times in the World with Covid-19. It all collided at once. I can’t say enough positive things about you and your team and the way you handled both challenges. You all have always been so professional and gracious with regard to ‘normalizing’ our family circumstances to help me feel less stressed, but I know that caring for our family certainly came with its unique set of dynamics! I especially wanted to give a special shout out to Sherry and Mary-Ellen, who both were there for us from the beginning in January 2020 when Mom arrived on the skilled care floor to recover from a dangerous event that had happened at their home. Things were in such a state of chaos at that point with Dad being at home with his own mental and physical decline happening. (I am certain they fielded a record breaking number of telephone calls from Dad, both during that time he was still at home and then when he became a resident! Lol) They both were also so wonderful to me, supporting me through many tearful conversations and taking the time to call or e-mail me an update of how Mom and Dad were that day and to highlight a positive moment. Right down to the very last day with being so supportive during Mom and Dad’s transition to Rockingham when I could not be there to assist. Mary-Ellen and Sherry are truly brilliant professionals, but more importantly, they are extraordinary people. I am so grateful to them for everything.

\r\nI also wanted to express my gratitude for the incredible job you did with managing the Covid19 crisis. Your team has so much to be proud of with the work you did to keep our loved ones safe. Your leadership was spot on, Lauren. The open communication and your calm, positive manner were such a blessing to us families during such a stressful time. Thank you for taking the time to host those daily Zoom calls. Having that direct connection to what was happening on the ‘inside’ was so helpful. I can’t even fathom how exhausted you must have been during that time, but you were always on top of keeping us updated on the ever changing information and patiently answered our questions. Seeing your smiling eyes (masked smile) and hearing your confident determination to protect our loved ones was so reassuring. Thank you for that.
\r\nThe amazing care and compassion you all bestow on your residents every day is amazing. I am so appreciative to the entire team…from nursing, rehab, recreation, nutrition, maintenance and reception. There are so many individuals to thank…a few that I had regular contact with are Rese, Manny, Angie, Tracy, Theresa, Pamela, Tabitha, Chrissy, Marisa. Everyone was always so patient and kind. Dad is one tough customer and despite being frustrated with his situation, he always had compliments to share about how the HHC ‘people are so nice’, ‘the food is delicious’ and ‘the place is so clean’. I so very much appreciate that both he and Mom were always treated with kindness, compassion and respect while balancing their safety and care needs.

\r\nDad and Mom are settled in at Rockingham. This has simplified managing their care for Sheila, their Guardian, and they are only 20 minutes from my home. We remain hopeful that their proximity to my brother’s family will encourage a visit once that can happen safely again. The staff at Rockingham are nice, but I have to say I very much miss our HHC family. You all will always have a special place in my heart and I will never forget your kindness, compassion and support for our family.

Katheryn S. was admitted to HHC on 2/28 she was requiring physical assist with most of her ADL's, she was having issue with her cognition as well. During her stay she worked with Physical, occupational and Speech therapy. On 4/21 Katheryn discharged home completely independent with all her ADL's. On her way out the door Katheryn said her stay at Harris hill was great, the staff was great, the food was good. No complaints and all smiles (under the mask) and thumbs up. We wish you the best Katheryn.
\r\n\r\nWhen I got here, I was broken and couldn't do a darn thing . Now, thanks to the determination and encouragement of this rehab team, I have achieved so much and am able to go home.
