Marmet Center is a skilled nursing facility offering post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. We also offer a dedicated memory support unit for residents with Alzheimer's or dementia. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. Our staff is dedicated to serving the medical and rehabilitation needs of individuals recovering from illness or injury.

She was unable to balance while standing or sitting was poor and wasn't able to ambulate upon admission. She was a maximum assist with propelling herself in a wheelchair and performing bed mobility tasks. At the time of discharge her balance had improved and she could ambulate 50 feet. She was also able to perform bed mobility tasks with minimal assistance and propel herself in a wheelchair with minimal assistance.
\r\n\r\nB.M. spent 39 days in the center for short term rehab. On admission, the patient's activity tolerance was only 3-5 minutes. He could only safely ambulate with moderate assistance using an assistive device, and could only transfer with maximal assistance. Upon discharge, the patient could safely ambulate 75 feet contact guard using assistive device, and his standing tolerance was 15 minutes using wheeled walker. He could perform all bed mobility tasks independently

J.D. was our patient in February. He was only able to tolerate activity for 1-3 minutes, and could only stand for 3-5 minutes upon admission. He could only ambulate 25 feet. While at the center he worked with therapy and was able to tolerate 10 minutes of activity and stand for 15 minutes upon discharge. He was able to ambulate 100 feet.
\r\n\r\nR.L. - Upon admission the patient's could only ambulate on level surfaces 35 feet, could only tolerate activity for 3-5 minutes, and could only tolerate standing for 6-9 minutes. He couldn't tolerate any stairs. At the time of discharge from the center, he was able to ambulate 440 feet and could tolerate 30 minutes of activity and 20 minutes of standing on his own. He was also able to climb 12 stairs.

Hannah is from Madison and is happy to be back in wild and wonderful WV after living in Virginia and NC the last few years working as a Nursing Home Administrator. Hannah is passionate about her job, strives to provide quality of care to her residents, and a positive working environment for her staff. Hannah's interests include traveling, hiking, party planning and spending time with her friends and family. She also has a Goldendoodle named Stella who is training to become a certified therapy dog. Hannah brings Stella for regular visits to Marmet Center, providing comfort and love to the residents.
