\r\nDad's visit with his newest great grandchild was very successful. Dad always did love wee babes....a man far ahead of his time. While I don't think he understood the exact connection, he loved touching, looking at, and cooing at our sweet little William. And now, one day, I can share with Will the pictures of him with his wonderful great grandpa, and know that they were together once. I visit Sedgewood Commons almost every day and have had ample opportunity to observe the interactions between the residents and caregivers. The caregivers at Sedgewood put a lot of effort into understanding the many idiosyncrasies of each resident and strive to give each one of them as much independence as can be safely allowed. All this is accomplished while striving to balance attentive care with a sense of humor, which benefits both staff and residents.

I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I was to receive reassurance that my mother was going to be okay. As a family, we try to understand the complications of advanced dementia and deal with the effects as best we can. But honestly, it's overwhelming at times.

Rebecca joins us from Maine Veterans Homes, where she served as Chief Operations Officer, bringing with her over 11 years of leadership experience in long-term care across multiple facilities throughout the state. As a licensed Administrator, she has a well-rounded background spanning both nonprofit and for-profit settings.
\r\n\r\nRebecca is deeply involved in industry leadership, serving on the Maine Health Care Association board. She also participates in two national AHCA committee meetings—the Political Action and Involvement Committee and the Customer Experience Committee—demonstrating her ongoing commitment to excellence in care.
\r\n\r\nOutside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two horses. Her passion for serving this generation is rooted in a deep appreciation for their life stories and the valuable lessons they offer us all.

Dr. Stadler received his MD from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 1998 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in 2001. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Palliative Medicine and a Certified Medical Director. He has a long standing interest in the care of the frail adult.
